Deep groove ball bearing with seals or shields

Single row deep groove ball bearings with seals or shields are particularly versatile, have low friction and are optimized for low noise and low vibration, which enables high rotational speeds. They accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions, are easy to mount, and require less maintenance than many other bearing types. The integral sealing can significantly prolong bearing service life because it keeps lubricant in the bearings and contaminants out.Integral sea

Knowledge and introduction of bearings    :

Excavator pump bearings are critical components in the hydraulic systems of excavators, ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of the machinery. Here's a detailed introduction to excavator pump bearings:

Definition and Importance:Excavator pump bearings support the hydraulic loads imposed on the pump's impeller, the mass of the impeller and shaft, and the loads due to the shaft coupling or belt drive. They keep the shaft axial end movement and lateral deflection within acceptable limits for the impeller and shaft seal. The hydraulic loads comprise hydrostatic and momentum forces from the fluid, including axial and radial loads.

Axial Load:The axial hydraulic pressures acting on a single stage centrifugal pump are significant for the pump bearings. The axial load is equal to the sum of the forces: the hydrostatic force acting on the impeller’s front and back shroud due to hydraulic pressures, the momentum force due to the change in direction of the fluid flow through the impeller, and the hydrostatic force due to the hydraulic pressure acting on the impeller (suction) opening. The magnitude and direction of the axial force may change during the pump start process owing to varying flow conditions.

Radial Load:Pump bearings also handle radial loads, which are influenced by the shaft stiffness and bearing clearance. The radial load is a result of the hydraulic forces acting on the impeller, causing it to rotate and transfer power to the pump's output.

Types of Pump Bearings:Excavator pump bearings can be single row angular contact ball bearings, which are typically mounted as pairs either in a back-to-back or face-to-face arrangement. These bearing pairs can support combined axial and radial loads and ensure accurate positioning of the pump shaft. A bearing pair will support an axial load equally in either axial direction. For heavy axial loads in one direction, a third bearing can be mounted in tandem.

MRC PumPac® Bearings:MRC PumPac® bearings are a matched set of two angular contact ball bearings, one with a 40° contact angle and the other with a 15° contact angle. The PumPac bearing set is designed to support high axial loads in one direction and can accept momentary reversals in axial load. The set must be mounted so that the 40° bearing supports the applied axial load as the active bearing.

Working Principle:The working principle of excavator pump bearings involves the transmission of vertical load, horizontal load, and overturning moment of the excavator working device acting on the turntable through the turntable, the outer ring, the rolling body, and the inner ring of the slewing bearing to the chassis. This ensures the stability and smooth operation of the excavator during various tasks.

Applications:Excavator pump bearings are used in various hydraulically powered machines and equipment, including construction and mining machines, fuel tanks and storage systems, loaders, drilling machinery, cranes, and excavators.

Maintenance:Proper maintenance of excavator pump bearings is crucial for ensuring maximum performance and longevity. Regular inspection for signs of wear, appropriate lubrication, and timely replacement are essential to prevent breakdowns, costly repairs, and accidents.

In summary, excavator pump bearings play a vital role in the hydraulic systems of excavators, handling the loads and ensuring the smooth operation of the machinery. They are designed to withstand the harsh conditions of construction and heavy machinery operations, providing reliability and durability.
